In the Navajo culture, shirts were not used. Men wore breech cloths, and women wore Yucca fiber woven skirts. In the colder weather they wore clothes woven from the wool of sheep. The Navajo Indians wore slippers that were called moccasins
Food
- The women gathered wild berries, seeds, and herbs while the men hunted deer, rabbit, mountain goats, and prairie dogs.
- Families also raised sheep and goats that provided them with meat, milk, and fleece
Beliefs
The Navajos base their way of life on a belief that the physical and spiritual world blend together, and everything on earth is alive. They worship the winds, sun, and watercourses. The Navajo are also cautious about death, and rarely talk about it.
